Welcome back to Pursuing Pixels. We’re a little less jam-packed in regards to quantity this week, but we are MORE than making up for it in the quality department, with some seriously top-notch games on the docket this week...so, let’s go!
First things first, we’ve all got BOBA fever! This awesome little precision platformer from indie dev trio, Casey MacNiel, Dalton Leavy, & Connor Grail is an absolutely fantastic experience from top to bottom...and on top of all that, there is a full blown level editor that is super simple to use and already has loads of great player-made levels! Kevin also just can’t leave Ludum Dare 48 alone and has one more amazingly polished precision puzzle platformer, Tailspin!, from Team Bugulon.
Randall has been playing a bunch of PHOGS! with his wife Tina, and they’ve been having a blast with this wacky co-op puzzle adventure! Kevin has a couple more indies to spotlight (per usual), after sinking a ton of time into both Die in the Dungeon, a roguelite deckbuilding dice game, and Townseek, a super chill trading exploration game.
Finally, John wraps things up with Touhou: Luna Nights, which he is thaaaat close to 100%-ing! This action-packed & puzzle-filled metroidvania is shaping up to be amongst his favorites, in one of his favorite genres—shockingly, John & Kevin agree on a metroidvania! :)
