The Fine Gael MEP Deirdre Clune has defended the large sum of money she spent on her European election campaign. Ms Clune spent more than any other candidate running for a European seat. Her campaign cost just over two hundred and six thousand euro[€206,461 to be precise!]. But, today speaking from the European Parliament, Ms Clune said she was able to account for every single cent of that money.
