It’s Monday, Let’s raise a glass to the beginning of another week. It's time to unscrew, uncork or saber a bottle and let’s begin Exploring the Wine Glass!
Welcome back to Winephabet Street. Today the letter of the day is N and it stands for Nero d’Avola. Nero d'Avola is synonymous with Sicilian Wine. It is the most notable indigenous grape variety. Although originally produced as a bulk wine, the times began to change in the 1990s, where it became the king of grapes in the region. To the eye, Nero d'Avola is known to be inky, with a deep red hue. On the palate, it exudes blackberries, cherries, and plums with an undertone of spice. I’d like to thank our special guest and sponsor, Gaetana Jacono of Valle dell'Acate
