This week we speak to Professors Eric Baumer from Penn State's Department of Sociology and Criminology and Min Xie from University of Maryland's Depart of Criminology and Criminal Justice. We touch on immigration, crime reporting by immigrant communities and crime trends over time. Eric and Min also discuss some new exciting projects they are working on with backing from the National Science Foundation and the National Institute of Justice. Eric and Min have been published in journals such as Criminology, Journal of Research in Crime and Delinquency and the Journal of Quantitative Criminology.
