Galatians 5:13
On this Fourth of July, we reflect on the matter of freedom. The dictionary, and modern society, see it as enabling individuals to do as they please, regardless of the consequences. However, the Scriptures make it clear that we are in bondage to sin and self-interest. By faith in the work of Christ on the cross, we have true freedom and power to resist sin, and to serve others.
