For this week's episode of The Fisheries Podcast, co-host Mirella Leis chats with guest Felippe Abbatepaulo about a social enterprise that is making waves in southern Brazil. 'Olha o Peixe' is changing the way we consume fish, benefitting small-scale fishing communities while also inspiring others to do the same.
Main point: Fishing better is not fishing more.
Felippe Abbatepaulo (Pepe) is an Oceanographer and holds a Master of Science degree in Aquaculture and Fisheries. He has worked with both artisanal and industrial fisheries and conducted scientific research prior to joining Olha o Peixe, where he works as Operational Manager. In his current role, he aims to work with and alongside fishers for a sustainable fisheries future.
