Dr. Annie Chiu is a Board-Certified Dermatologist practicing in the Beach Cities area of Los Angeles who received her Medical Degree from Stanford University.  She obtained her Bachelors of Science from UC Berkeley, where she graduated with top honors and was a University Medal finalist.  She is the founder and owner of her private practice, The Derm Institute. 

Dr. Annie Chiu recognizes that healthy, beautiful skin should be attainable for every patient.  She specializes in artful, subtle cosmetic rejuvenation with multiple techniques including Botox, fillers, Sculptra, peels, lasers, and tailored cosmeceuticals. Dr. Chiu is nationally recognized as a “master” injector, and is often involved in treating the models used in brochures and marketing campaigns for various fillers, and is in the top 2% in terms of experience in volume of injectable rejuvenation in the country. 

Dr. Chiu lectures and teaches advanced cosmetic procedures and techniques throughout the country and internationally.  She has also participated in multiple studies on acne, Botox, photoaging, and eczema. She is currently a consultant, trainer and speaker for Allergan, Galderma, Merz, SkinMedica, Skinceuticals, as well as various laser and energy device companies. She is the author of numerous publications, book chapters, and review articles on Cosmetic Dermatology and skin health.  Dr. Chiu is also often a media expert for editors and TV Shows alike, appearing on shows such as The Doctors, and was named a “Skin Genius” in 2015 by Elle Magazine.

Heavily involved as a leader in the field of Dermatology, Dr. Chiu is actively involved in the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. She serves on the AAD Future Leader Panel, Patient Advocacy Taskforce, and Chairs the Product and Service Workgroup, Social Media Workgroup, and is an editor for Derm World. Locally, she believes strongly in patient advocacy and outreach, organizing community awareness and skin cancer screening programs.
