David Archuleta is an American pop singer, a former contestant for Star Search and American Idol, and is a current member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormon church). He is also gay and has been having a lot of internal struggles trying to reconcile who he is with the faith he was indoctrinated into - a faith that requires him to never act on what it refers to as "the challenge of same-sex attraction."

 

We talk about David's recently posted video on Instagram in which he talks about his struggles with his faith, depression, and suicidal ideation.
