Fianna Fáil MEP Barry Andrews says there’s no doubt Brexit talks will intensify soon.
The British government had warned that it wouldn’t engage in discussion until Europe made “fundamental change” in its negotiating stance.
However, negotiators on either side spoke by phone this afternoon.
Time is running out to reach a deal before the Brexit transition period ends in just over two months time.
