Desert Island Disks is a long-standing, popular BBC program where someone is asked to choose a set of songs, and then the guest discusses the songs with the host, who also plays them during the interview. Julia Simpkins has been hosting guest performers at the Bolton Socialist Club in Bolton, England for many years. Since the pandemic, she's been doing it online, in the form of an excellent DIY version of the BBC program. Not sure about the copyright issues, but with the permission of the participants, I recorded the session.
