The EU says it’s committed to addressing the “legitimate concerns of farmers”. EU Agriculture Ministers yesterday discussed the EU’s response to the current concerns in the agriculture sector. They looked at recent proposals to reduce the administrative burden on farmers and simplify CAP regulations. European Commission initiatives to strengthen the position of farmers in the food supply chain were also on the agenda.
The EU’s Agriculture Commissioner Janusz Wojciechowski, outlined some of the measures being considered.
