Ivy Slater always wanted to be a dancer. She earned a degree in dance and went on to become a professional dancer, something many young ballerinas don’t achieve. But at 23 years old, an injury brought her dance career to an immediate halt. Heartbroken, Slater knew it was time for a reinvention.
