EPISODE 292 - Chuck and Stacey finish their conversation with respected voice casting and voice director of Blizzard Entertainment, Andrea Toyias, known for epic video games like Overwatch, World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo and more. Andrea talks about why she loves teaching workshops to help actors discover what they are capable of doing. She expresses appreciation for the recording process and reminds actors to be confident, own their talents and believe in themselves. She speaks to the changes in video game industry, what she wants to see in the future with respect to diversity, reflecting the world around us and embracing the acting process more. Andrea talks about interactive demo reels, why she wants to hear them showcase what the actor does best as well as the kinds of characters and dialects she needs for her projects. She shares some of the challenges and highlights of casting projects as well as her favorite experience casting the character Doomfist in Overwatch.
