What a week! On this episode, Robert and Jazmin speak with Morgan Eaves, a candidate for Kentucky House in the 81st district (Richmond). She talks about why she's running, what she hopes to accomplish, and what it's like running against one of the more ...unique characters in the House of Representatives.
Before that, Robert and Jazmin talk through the insane amount of news from the last week: first, Jazmin explains the arguments in Andy Beshear's lawsuit challenging the pension law. Then, Robert goes through the end of the session--what happened with the budget and revenue bills, and which laws got passed and didn't get passed in the final days. Next, Robert and Jazmin discuss Matt Bevin's incredibly offensive comments about teachers demonstrating in Frankfort on Friday. Finally, they talk about the machinations in the Board of Education leading to the replacement of the Education commissioner (who was replaced in the middle of recording the show!). There's even a quick hit! It's a bunch of news and a longer episode, but a lot happened this week!
