Ireland must stand up for countries worst hit by the Russian energy crisis, in the same way as they stood by Ireland after Brexit – that’s the view of Barry Andrews. Last week Russia cut off gas supplies to Bulgaria and Poland. EU energy ministers have been meeting this afternoon to discuss the implications and show solidarity. Fianna Fáil MEP, Barry Andrews, says Ireland is far less exposed because we don't rely on Russian oil and gas, but we must step up and help our European neighbours who helped us through Brexit.
