Dr. Gelman is a sought after lecturer, speaking monthly on body contouring, liposuction, breast augmentation and post-bariatric body reconstruction. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Swarthmore College in 1983 and received his MD degree from Duke University in 1987. He completed his Plastic Surgery residency at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic, as well as a Hand Surgery Fellowship from Thomas Jefferson University.
He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a active member of both the Chicago Plastic Surgery Society and the American Society of Plastic Surgery.
