We’re hitting the open road with our old pal James, as we cover Twin Peaks, season 2, episode 11, “Masked Ball.” Our actual friend - Coral of Wholesome Peaks fame on Instagram - joined us to help break down the episode, and thank goodness she did because there’s a hell of a lot going on here.
We’re introduced to the lovely Denise, the mischievous Little Nicky, and the always extra Evelyn Marsh. We finally get a high school plot - centered around a grown woman, of course. Windom Earle is still lurking in the shadows of a chess board, Hank is somehow higher in the food chain than Ben now, Josie’s backstory is developed, we learn more about the White Lodge (and its shadow, the Black Lodge), and just to add to all that narrative chaos, someone comes “back” from the dead.
