0:00 Today we're going to talk about self-sabotage. Because so many people find themselves wanting to change, they want to do something different. Maybe they want to start that business, maybe they want to lose weight. Maybe they want to have a different relationship, no matter what it is, they have a desire for something different. No matter what they do, they can't seem to stop the self-sabotage.
0:28 Well, let's start by talking about what is self-sabotage. Self-sabotage, to me, is anything that comes up that prevents you from putting yourself out there to get the thing. Maybe it's putting yourself out there online, build the business, maybe it's doing the work that you know, that's required. Maybe it's, you know, still buying the junk food, even though you said you weren't going to or maybe it's I don't know, finding excuses, right?
2:11 There's a few things that can drive self-sabotage, a lot of it can be fear, right? fear of being seen fear of not being enough fear of missing the mark, fear of being criticized, fear of being made fun of fear of how we're perceived, there's a whole bunch of fears, right, there can also be beliefs about ourselves about what we're worth, about what we can have about who we can be that we took on a long time ago, that go completely opposite against now what we're trying to do.
5:06 When did this first start happening? When did I first start feeling this way? When did I first start believing this? What did I first start thinking this? What memory is going to come up for me what passenger on my bus? Do I need to meet you guys listen to me, you've heard me talk about passengers on the bus, right? previous versions of you that took on these beliefs. That is a great starting point.
6:58 When the anxiety comes up with a whatever comes up, do the opposite. Do it immediately do it in the moment, we're going to do it right now. And we're going to see that we can actually do something different, that we won't die, that things won't happen, that we will be okay, right, all the things it's awareness, feeling the fear or the feelings, they're whatever they are, and then doing the thing in spite of feeling it.
8:24 Talk to the passenger, figure out who it is, feel the feeling, process it through your body physically, and then take an action that's different, that's opposite than what you've always done.
