The Fascinating Life of Richard Lyford and The Film 'As The Earth Turns' With Ed Hartman
In this episode of "Diary of an Unemployed Actor," Milo speaks with musician and filmmaker Ed Hartman. He has an amazing story about the movie and life of Richard Lyford. Lyford was a Seattle-based filmmaker who wrote and directed a silent film in 1938 that had never been released… Until now.
The film As the Earth Turns has received a long list of awards now that it has been completed. Ed and I discuss a short documentary, It Gets in Your Blood about the life of the extraordinary writer and director who made 9 films before he was 20, worked for Disney, and directed an Academy award-winning film.
As The Earth Turns will be on Turner Classic Movies on Halloween 2021!
