PipemanRadio Interviews Hepcat at Riotfest 2021

On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman speaks to Hepcat live at Riotfest 2021. The guys from hepcat describe themselves as a feel-good band all about making feel-good music and sharing the love. They also talk about how they began by listening to the old guys of Ska. Pipeman asks them about the stories they’ll their grandkids when they’re 80, which they reply with some magnificent stories about how Gwar owes them a pair of shoes, playing with The Specials in Asbury Park and playing with the The Skatalites and meeting Lloyd Knibb. This lead to a discussion on how musicians have an algebraic equation now instead of being an actual musician, and what it was like for Hepcat starting the band and finding their own sound after trying to emulate the greats.
