The tale of how towing-in was developed is one of the most crucial turning points in surfing's journey as an 'extreme sport'. A million miles from what most of us do, day-in-day-out, what sort of mindset does decide to be part of such incredible leaps into the unknown? For the milestone that is our 40th episode, Tom and Rhino chat with none other than Buzzy Kerbox - a key member of the crew who first discovered how the unridden realm could be accessed and then charged. Here, Buzzy tells us how he, Laird Hamilton and a few others began on relatively primitive equipment, only to end up leading a movement that changed the sport forever. We hear what it was like to take part in the first mapping of Jaws as a surf spot, as well as some of the other incredible tales from Buzzy's life as a top model, traveller and all-round waterman.
