#006 A Call To Prayer - The War That Followed Me Home
As the news of an executive order to pull all military presence from Afghanistan comes through, Zachariah and Hunter felt convicted to discuss these current events. This week's episode they go over the song "The War That Followed Me Home" by Convictions and discuss the trials of PTSD, anxiety, survivor's guilt that are felt by many veteran and active duty military members. And as the Afghani people must now deal with the devastation that is the Taliban without U.S. military presence, it has become apparent that they have been lead like sheep to the slaughter. So as Zachariah and Hunter discuss the pain of both service members with lasting mental struggles and the people that Afghanistan stationed troops have sought to serve and protect from malicious forces, there is a call to prayer. Pray that those who spent so long to help set up a sustainable government and livable system would be at peace and would be in fellowship with those around them. Pray that those stuck in Afghanistan, both U.S. citizens and U.S. allies, would be bold in their faith in God despite that imminent threat of death by the Taliban. Call on our Creator and seek His will in all of this that He would be glorified in our prayers and actions. God bless.
1 Peter 5:6-7
6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.
