I’m old, I’m tired, and I’m stupid, and of the three, and most of all, I'm stupid. Yes, I know the Texans lost 31-3 to the Indianapolis Colts, but throughout this episode I said the Colts scored 34 points. After all these years, and all these games, somethings get lost in the wind. You know, like how many games Houston lost in Indianapolis before Bill O’Brien broke the curse, or how many receptions T.Y. Hilton has against them over the years, or which year Mike Vanderjagt nailed a game winning kick with zero seconds left. Carrying about the exact and precise details are for nerds, the ones who miss doing homework. We are big picture thinkers. Sucking in the enormity of everything and exasperating only what matters. Three points isn’t that big of a deal. Understanding Davis Mills’s skillset is what does.
On this episode of Battle Red Radio, Matt Weston and BFD, review Houston’s 3-34 3-31 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Topics include: what is Davis Mills good at, Laremy Tunsil’s absence having zero impact on this game, the terrible rotten game plan that Tim Kelly came up with, Jonathan Greenard’s break out game, picking through the young talent, Nick Caserio bashing, and if there’s anything Lovie Smith can do, and the Sisyphian nature of the last 11 games of the season.
