Ragivah Mahdi joins Martin Friedman again this week to continue their discussion about communication. This week they are here to talk about active listening in relationships. One of the biggest problems both men have observed is that people like to think they are listening. We are so caught up in our ego that we think we are listening to what people are telling us, but really all we are doing is hearing them. Ragivah Mahdi explains that listening involves more than just hearing words. You have to show the person talking that you are invested in what they are telling you, and feel their importance. Listening builds trust and it also build confidence. Because when people feel like they are being heard they feel important. We all deserve to feel important!
