217 - Internal Family Systems & Betrayal w/ Jenna Riemersma
Betrayal trauma causes inner chaos. Parts of us want to run away and find safety. Other parts of us want to stay and fix or save. These "parts" of us can wage war, making us feel burnt out and hopeless. Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapy model that identifies these "parts" in us and how they wage war with each other. So much is at stake when choosing to address our trauma, so we must learn to see each part of ourselves as truly welcome. Today, we're joined by IFS practitioner and therapist, Jenna Riemersma to talk about how IFS can help us heal from our betrayal trauma and truly see how to welcome each "part" with compassion.
