Tragically, suicide has been on the rise for decades. Fallen souls in a broken world, coupled at times with mental illness, delivers to many a devastating hopelessness and a desire for escape. And the world of isolation created by the pandemic has only accelerated this problem. With self-harm and suicidal thoughts in abundance both around the church and inside the church, the question that must be carefully, biblically answered is this: can a true follower of Jesus commit suicide?
This week, Peter, Aaron, and guest-hosts Adam Powers and Maggie Seibert discuss:
“Dawn will come one day, and everything that is sad will be made untrue. That doesn’t dismiss that it is really dark right now, and that in this world we will have trouble. But Christ has overcome the world. And if we look to him, he promises that, in him, we can have peace, even though we have trouble in the world. And there is great hope in that.” ~ Adam Powers
