Premium Packages: How Penile Enhancement Can Improve Both Medical and Cosmetic Concerns
Thanks for tuning in to the Armor Men’s Health Hour Podcast today, where we bring you the latest and greatest in urology care and the best urology humor out there.
In this segment, Dr. Mistry and Donna Lee discuss a topic that can be difficult for men to raise with their physicians: penile enhancement. Dr. Mistry explains that in addition to the many cosmetic reasons men seek out enhancement surgeries, there are also serious functional impairments that can be helped through such interventions. Although nothing can make your penis any longer than it actually is, much can be done to "unbury" the length you already have. Weight loss on its own can produce as much as an inch in penile length for every 30 pounds lost. Excess weight can "bury" the penis under the fat pad that sits above it. This pad--the mons pubis--can be surgically reduced in one of our most popular enhancement surgeries and can also help those struggling to urinate or have intercourse due to a buried penis. Other options for enhancing length include the suspensory ligament transection, a surgery that releases the ligament responsible for keeping your penis in your body, thereby lengthening it; and the scrotal webbing resection, which adds visible length by reducing the size of the scrotal sac. Finally, there is the question of adding girth. Both fat and silicon fillers can be added to the shaft and/or head of your penis to increase its girth. Dr. Mistry prefers silicon fillers to those made up of fat taken from elsewhere in the body, which is more likely to shift and/or dissipate over time. Importantly, insurance often covers many of these procedures, especially if they're done for medical vs. cosmetic reasons. The retail price for many of these procedures is less than commonly expected and ranges from $5,500 to $10,000.
