I was incredibly lucky to survive my cancer - Loraine Peck

Award-winning debut author Loraine Peck has a lot to celebrate. Not only did her first book The Second Son win the best debut crime fiction in the 2021 Ned Kelly Awards, Loraine is also a cancer survivor having had ovarian and breast cancers. She’s doing well and now advocates for more research and funding into gynaecological cancers. She’s on the board of The Australian Gynaecological Cancer Foundation. Loraine’s also got an intimate connection with crime as you’ll find out. It’s no wonder that her Sydney-based modern day crime saga is so gripping.
