On the Secret Witch Show today we have Samantha Giles. Samantha is best known as an actress who has played comedy character Bernice Blackstock in ITV 1's Emmerdale for several years. She has also been a regular character in three series of Where The Heart Is and Hollyoaks, as well as lead guest roles in many other well-known TV programmes.
She started writing about 4 years ago, inspired by a dream she had about the four witch characters that feature in her debut, Rosemary and The Witches of Pendle Hill. Other than writing and acting she has her own website, www.thesamanthagiles.co.uk where you can find out more about Samantha, including her interest in Wicca and where she sells her spell kits. Her children's books feature many of the foundations of wicca including the basic law of “harm ye none” as well as fun spell weaving and they have just been sold internationally.
In this episode we explore how to shine radiantly as your powerful, magical self, diving into how to harness real magical technology, and how Samantha devoted herself to Soul in order to create a magical life, both as an actress and an author.
What You’ll Learn from this Episode:
- Being a Witch doesn’t necessarily mean that we practice spells - it’s actually more of a way of being - and a potent lens we can use to really see our capacity to harness our power to create a magical life
- Our dreams are so powerful that they can bring our imaginations to life - including those things we deem impossible - such as being an actress and an author
- It’s not just a case of making a wish and waiting for the Universe to provide to us; there is a co-creation required to create a magical life, which involves us taking aligned action towards our goals
- This can require some Devotion from us - even in the face of adversity - and it’s not always easy, but it’s worth it if we want to shine radiantly as out truth, as modelled so beautifully by Samantha
- Other people can put whatever labels on us they like, but it is what we believe that matters - and the more we can embody our new, magical stories, the more we are able to harness our magic
- It is important that we use magic responsibly in alignment with our Soul Will - whatever we embody *will* manifest - if we are acting, we will get whatever role our character embodies. We get to powerfully choose the roles we desire, and can create those, but we need to harness our power intentionally
