This may seem hard to believe, but you CAN’T do it all. You can’t be the best at every role in the church. In fact there maybe some aspects of leadership that you absolutely stink at. That’s why we need each other. That’s why God has given us the body of Christ with different giftings and interest to help shoulder the work of ministry. But what many pastors and ministry leaders do is to try and keep control and they end up burning out, wearing down or worse, giving up. In this HCP episode, Larry and Drew discuss embracing our limits, owning our weaknesses and being honest with ourselves and other leaders who can fill those gaps. We see the wonderful story in scripture of Mary and Martha, one busy and bothered and one at the feet of Jesus, content to just BE with Him. We could learn a lot from these ladies. It’s ok, to realize you CAN’T do it all. In fact, the sooner you realize it, the better your ministry, marriage and life with Jesus can become.
