Two for the Road: Movies with Matt and Adam
TV & Film:Film Reviews
96: A Touch of Evil (1958) and Bad Times at the El Royale (2018)
Text Matt & Adam!
Noir-vember remains in full swing. Matt thinks Orson Welles' "Touch of Evil" (1958) is the last great film from the original Noir era. Adam liked it, but thought it dragged a little in the middle. Both M&A think it's worth seeing just for the opening and final scenes. "Bad Times at the El Royale" (2018) is a film about a mysterious hotel where no one is who they say they are. Adam loved it, but liked it more after talking about it on the show.
Next, we go international noir with John Woo's, "Hard Boiled" (1992) and from Korea, "New World" (2013).
