“Technology is gonna absolutely reinvent the way we think about, create, compose, distribute, and listen to music.” - Owen Grover
Technology is all around us. As a result, it is unsurprising that it has had a significant impact on twentieth-century music. It has changed the way music is transmitted, preserved, heard, performed, and composed, but one thing remains constant: the sense of togetherness. How is it maintained all throughout?
In today’s episode, we are joined by Owen Grover. He is the CEO of TrueFire Studios, one of the biggest music education brands out there, with 4 main brands: Artistworks.com, TrueFire, FaderPro, and JamPlay. Owen also helped produce the Concert for Sandy Relief at Madison Square Garden, which raised over $55 million for victims of Hurricane Sandy. Owen is also known for building Pocket Casts, an Australian-born podcasting app.
