27:18-23 Joshua appointed, not elected, ordained by laying on of hands, just like our priests. (Apostolic Succession.)

31:16-18 These heinous acts by the Israelites show that the Bible tells the story, “warts and all.” God had told Moses to win the war, not to slaughter the women and children here. Compare this to Catholic Just War Doctrine, CCC 2309-2314, which clearly refutes those practices.
