Acts 20 - 28:
20:19-24 Paul committed himself to a cause that was greater than himself. Read these verses. Will you be able to say this about yourself at the end of your journey?
21:20-26 Paul agreed to go along with this Old Testament purification ritual because he was obedient to the Church....it probably wasn’t HIS preference, but the leaders thought it was best, at that time and place, to keep the Church together. We follow the Church!
Paul planned to visit Rome years before he ever set foot there. He endured imprisonment, beatings, and shipwrecks. He arrived in chains, not as a free man. (No Prosperity Gospel here!) The Christian walk is not easy, but Paul knew his purpose (and ours!) was to spread the Gospel, and eternity with Christ is worth the suffering we will endure.
