Episode 85 of The Big Rhetorical Podcasts features an interview with Dr. Adam Hubrig. Dr. Adam Hubrig (they/them) is an autistic, multiply-disabled caretaker of cats. They live in Huntsville, Texas, where they work as an assistant professor and English Education coordinator for the English Department at Sam Houston State University. Their research and teaching explore disability, especially at the intersection of pedagogy, queer rhetorics, community literacy, as well as teacher education. Adam’s research is featured in in College, Composition, and Communication, The Community Literacy Journal, The Journal of Multimodal Rhetorics and Reflections: A Journal of Community Engaged Writing and Rhetoric and their words have also found homes in Brevity, the Disability Visibility Blog, andTaco Bell Quarterly. Adam is currently co-editor of the AntiAbleist Composition blog space and an advisory board member of the Coalition for Community Writing.
