During the evening of December 6th, 2014, one dozen volunteer firefighters responded to a call about a car fire in the tiny town of Courtland, Mississippi, population 512. When they arrived at the scene, they found not only a car on fire, but a person, as well. 19-year-old Jessica Chambers, a bubbly, sweet, former High School cheerleader and softball player had become engulfed in flames after being doused with gasoline and deliberately set on fire. She was flown to a hospital in Memphis, where she later died from her injuries. The police set about tracking down her killer, but it would be no easy feat. Many male suspects, alleged gang affiliations and a web of lies and deceit was only the beginning. The jury case of the primary suspect would ultimately prove to be not only frustrating, but would turn out to be one of the most convoluted, bizarre and ineffective trials in the country's history...Show Notes:https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8792230/*Quinton Tellis' defense attorney was Darla Palmer.
