We hope you've had your fill of Thanksgiving leftovers, because this episode my put you off them for a bit. This week, Hannah tells Katy the story of Tarrare, a young Frenchman who ate literally everything. From enormous amounts of beef and salted grease, to lizards, snakes, and eels, to human blood, used bandages, and possibly a baby. Tarrare was a medical mystery, a short-lived spy, and a tragic case of a man who just couldn't satisfy his insatiable appetite.
Maybe don't eat while listening to this one. But feel free to have a drink, as you join us for this disconcerting tale.
