Ep. 79 - Own Your Shame: From Pain & Addiction to Faith & Freedom with Julia Shepley
In this episode Women's Coach and founder of Sober Sisters, Julia Shepley shares the reality and challenges of being addicted to alcohol, to her journey to becoming her best self today.
Julia gets vulnerable and real with us by sharing her struggle with addiction and what taking action for her own healing journey looked like. Becoming sober meant breaking free from the shame, resistance and fear, to make life changing shifts for her greater good and getting comfortable in facing herself.
Using gratitude for everything the universe gifted her; the good and the bad, Julia found faith that something much bigger was pushing her towards a sober lifestyle . Recovery has since given her a set of tools, practices and connection to spirituality that she shares today in her sober sisterhood.
This episode highlights the importance of owning and facing all of your emotions to empower other woman on their healing journey. Julia inspires us with her openness to share nothing but the raw truth and to get curious about who you are by doing the inner work.
This episode is for you if you’re seeking to feel inspired and empowered to embark on your own healing journey, looking to transform your relationship with alcohol, or you’re curious about connecting with the divine.
