Sadie Hawkes, age 37 is a strong athlete I have come to know in a daily workout routine at the Orange Theory Gym here in Utah, where her mom, Susan Anderson comes all the way across town to work out at 6:00 am with her daughter. Sadie is strong and competitive and that personality is most likely the grit it took to overcome the powerful adversity of prescription drug abuse and addiction starting at a young age. Overcoming the intense need for drugs and fighting off crippling waves of depression related to the addiction, Sadie shares what it was like to fight this battle, and her mom, Susan chimes in from a mother's perspective what it was like during those years that nearly took Sadie away. This story will test your heart strength. Thank you both for a very vulnerable interview and allowing me to experience what you went through.
