Holly Matthews is a former TV actress, Ted X speaker, Life Coach, NLP practitioner and founder of The Happy Me Project. From an acting career that started at the age of nine on legendary children’s TV drama Byker Grove at the age of nine where she spent seven years, before leaving to pursue a career in singing. She has also appeared in Waterloo Road, Casualty, Doctors and The Bill.
In 2017, she launched The Happy Me Project after her husband Ross died of brain cancer. Her experience and vlogging in the lead up to his death, his death and aftermath was featured extensively in the UK media both in print, radio and television. The Happy Me Project in 2017 has helped hundreds of people through its virtual doors and many more in in-person workshops of the same name. Holly has also completed eight sell-out tour dates across the UK.
Holly talked to Giles and Jim live as part of Kind Fest 2021 about The Happy Me Project, juggling work and being a parent and how she overcomes the blank moments along the way.
