Jason Smith is the Owner and CEO of Spotlight Social Advertising, a company that specializes in helping businesses grow and scale with Facebook and Instagram ads. He is also the Host of The Truth About Social Ads, where he interviews guests from all corners of the digital marketing landscape.
Before founding his company in 2016, Jason spent 14 years in uniform with the LAPD and later started a side gig helping people with their online traffic, advertising, and Facebook ads, which became his core business. He then left the police department permanently to focus on Spotlight Social Advertising.
In this episode…Whiskers away from getting killed, benched for doing his job, fighting gang violence, and at the verge of losing all he has worked hard for in the last 14 years, Jason Smith discovered the power of Facebook ads. He went from earning $4,000 a month and getting shot at while working for the LAPD to $10,000 a month running social media ads for clients. Multiple clients later, Jason now earns way more than that — and loves his job.
So what changed for Jason? How did he get so good at Facebook advertising? What’s his process for helping clients get 3x back in revenue? There's so much to unpack, and Jason’s here to share all.
