Stamford Chidge and Jonathan Kydd are joined by Tony Glover to look back at the Carabao Cup Quarter Final against Brentford and nlook ahead to Boxing Day's trip to Aston Villa.
In part one we look back at the 2-0 victory over Brentford in the Carabao Cup Quarter Final. Tuchel threw in the kids in the form of Soonsup-Bell, Vale and Simons and they did not disappoint. Chalobah showed that he is a leader in waiting and Kante in just 15 minutes that he is still pure class. But Chelsea were matched off the pitch by the superb away support who made their voices well and truly heard with a fairly comprehensive airing if the Chelsea repetoire. With two more matches against Spurs in the semi-final in January how will Thomas Tuchel manage the overload of fixtures?
In part two we talk to Justin Hawthorne from the Up The Villa podcast in 'Opposition View'. What has new manager Steve Gerrard's impact been? What are Villa fans expectations now? How much has Covid disrupted Villa and how does Justin see Boxing Day's match going?
In part three we have a look at the upcoming Villa game. Who will Tuchel pick? What is the history of the fixture and what is the current form. Plus more of Chidge's 'unwanted stats'! Finally, how do we see it going?
