Happy Holidays...Maybe? Navigating the Emotions of the Holidays
Happy holidays and happy Christmas eve eve...
This time of the year often holds mixed emotions for single-moms and divorced parents.
The holidays are such a mixed bag. Aren' they? There's so much joy & magic and conversely, there's so much stress. So I thought we would spend today just a few minutes together talking about the holidays and what they look like for you. I am fully well aware that not all of you celebrate Christmas. You might have other traditions that you celebrate as well.
Whatever your tradition is at this time of year, there just tends to be a lot of mixed feelings going on. There's a lot of visiting family. There's a lot of connecting with long lost friends and relatives, and just so many emotions that can come up.
What makes the holidays special for you? I think holding on to these special little joyful quiet moments helps the stress and the strain and the exhaustion of the holidays melt away because we can hold on to thosenjoyful traditions that brings so much meaning to what it is that we're doing at this time of year, this connection, the magic, the giving, the wonder, those kinds of things.
