As I've mentioned before, ghost stories are an important part of the traditions for more and more people each year.
As many of us look back at seasons past, the era of the Victorian christmas saw the ghost story become wildly popular.
Here's one of my favourites that I read many years ago in a collection entitled "Not Exactly Ghosts" by Sir Andrew Caldecott from 1947.
Christmas Reunion is the last story in the book and it's stayed with me ever since I read it as a youngster.
As a christmas treat, here it is courtesy of Project Guggenberg.
Merry Christmas!
