UFC 205 is in the books and it was a doozy, folks. The fight company’s debut at Madison Square Garden and first trip to New York since 1995 was so big that it throws the normal format of the Co-Main Event Podcast into chaos. There’s no way to break this baby into coherent rounds--whether it be 3 or 5 or whatever--so your dudes Ben and Chad have no choice to chuck it all and dive in anyway. Call this episode’s format a tribute to new featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor. The guys just keep it flowy, for a single, uninterrupted conversation about the things that still stick with them about UFC 205. Like a couple bros at the park idly swinging pool noodles at each other, they discuss McGregor’s shockingly easy win over Eddie Alvarez, the goodness/weirdness of Tyron Woodley vs. Stephen “Wonderman” Thompson and Yoel Romero’s brain-rattler over Chris Weidman, among many other things.
All that, plus AYFKM.
