The Third Sub Episode 121: 'Caps continue quiet offseason, CanMNT transfers rack up, and MLS continues interesting winter
Welcome back to another episode of the Third Sub Podcast presented by Macey's Sports!
In this episode, Alex and Sam are back, as usual, this time to catch up on a busy month's worth of Vancouver Whitecaps, MLS and CanMNT news.
To start, they look at the main bit of Whitecaps news, and that's the acquisition of Tristan Blackmon from LAFC (via Charlotte FC). First, they look at what they think of the move itself, before looking at where they think he slots in this team, and if this is a shrewd trade or not.
Afterwards, they go into some CanMNT talk, looking at the unfortunate news that some important January camps were cancelled in the lead-up to World Cup qualifiers later this month, before looking at some more positive stories, including the transfers of several Canadian players to new clubs.
Lastly, they look at some of the big MLS news dominating conversation recently, including one big arrival, that of Lorenzo Insigne to Toronto FC, before looking at some big departures, including that of Daryl Dike to West Bromwich Albion and Ricardo Pepi to FC Augsburg.
