Once upon time Laura had a horse named Bunny and now she has to watch as Nellie Oleson torments that horse. That is until Bunny takes off and before you know it the Ingallas girls are standing over an unconscious Nellie Oleson. Not only that, but it also looks as though Nellie has lost all feelings...in her legs. Feeling responsible for the course of events, Laura has volunteered to help out in any way possible. Very soon Laura is behind in her own homework, late with her chores and is blowing off fishing dates with her scientist boyfriend, Jason. Yes, Laura has a boyfriend. But, when Nellie Oleson is involved, sadly, always expect an ulterior motive. And after a few weeks of deceit, Laura discovers the truth behind Nellie's injuries and decides it is time to test drive Nellie's new wheelchair, with Nellie in it.
