Is Together Really Always Better with Courtney Hightower
Send us a text
Hello listeners and welcome back to the podcast. This week, I have special guest Courtney Hightower. She is a mom to 6 ranging in ages 4-16.
Courtney and I started talking in the comments on one of my posts and just knew this could be a conversation to benefit all special needs moms. Is it okay if being together isn’t actually better? As families that have children with special needs, sometimes they can’t or don’t want to do the same adventures and activities as the rest of the family. Courtney and I discuss how sometimes it is okay to leave your special needs with a someone or bring an extra person on your adventure to be specifically with that child.
Courtney suggests, find a friend, a sitter, a grandma to help and don’t always feel obligated to do ALL the things together. We see you trying. We know you always mean well. As always, keep your head up and keep going! Chat again next week.
