Antonia is a singer/songwriter born in the awe-inspiring setting of the Shetland Islands. In her second year of Uni she took the step to buy a guitar and worked through open mic nights and busking the cobbled and famous Royal Mile, honing her skills and testing out new styles before breaking into the ....Edinburgh.... gig scene. Playing in venues such as Henry Cellar Bar, Bannermans and The Ark as well as a stint in Glasgow's Liquid Ship, Antonia caught the performing bug and started to develop her own blend of folk/rock/pop with a large focus on creative lyrics.
Now back in Shetland Antonia has supported the likes of Chris Helme (former front man of The Seahorses) and Mark Morriss (of Bluetones fame). Now having released her debut album “Baliamo” she is on the verge of recording and releasing a second, more adventurous offering, as well as planning a tour of the ....UK.... for late summer 2010. So for lyrically minded acoustic tunes that are rough around the edges and born from a love of all things musical, give it a listen!
