Jurga's biography:
The singer Jurga [yur-gah] successfully started her solo career by releasing debut album Aukso Pieva (Golden Field) back in 2005. The first single from the album Nebijok (Don't Be Afraid) charted at Number One for 8 weeks and became the biggest hit single in Lithuania of 2005 while the title track Aukso Pieva achieved similar radio success in 2006.
In the home market, where 5.000 copies means success, Jurga became the biggest selling music act! Aukso Pieva album has reached platinum sales (total sales 25.000 copies and still counting) and the follow-up album Instrukcija (2007) comes very close to platinum as well (with total sales 17.000 copies and counting and with the title track scoring another Number One).
